The town was settled in the 1850s by farmers and sea captains, who built the historic wharf and grew crops at the prairies on the edge of town. Take a stroll on the boardwalk, enjoy a pastry at the Little Red Hen Bakery, and learn about local oyster farming. You may even spot a whale while you're there! Peter and I spotted one just two weeks ago!!
