FAQs

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Dress to impress and most importantly, what makes you feel comfortable! For guys, a classic suit or dressy slacks and a nice shirt will do the trick. Ladies, a cocktail dress should work perfectly.

Question

Can I bring a plus one to the wedding?

Answer

If your invitation includes a "+1" or your guest's name, then you are welcome to bring him/her with you. If the invitation is addressed only to you, we kindly request that you attend solo.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The main event starts at 3pm, so aim to get here at least 15-30 minutes early. Please account for San Francisco traffic time. Seats are first come first serve. If you do not have a seat we kindly ask you to stand in the back.

Question

Can I take public transportation to City Hall and Palette Tea House?

Answer

Absolutely! San Francisco City Hall is easily accessible by public transit. Consider taking BART, Muni, or your favorite ride-sharing app for a stress-free journey. Please visit https://www.sfcityhallevents.org/public-transit/ for more details on routes.

Question

Are there parking options at City Hall or Palette Tea House?

Answer

Parking can be a bit tricky for both locations so we highly recommend either public transportation or ride-share as your preferred method. That said, if you plan to drive, arrive early to find street parking or check out nearby parking garages. Directions for the nearest City Hall garages can be found at https://www.sfcityhallevents.org/directions-parking/. For Palette Tea House, you can park at Ghirardelli Square Parking Garage.

Question

Is there a gift registry for the couple?

Answer

In line with Chinese wedding customs, we kindly request monetary gifts instead of traditional registry items. Your contribution will help us start our new life together, and it's a cherished tradition that holds special meaning to us. If you wish to give a gift, please consider a cash gift to honor this tradition.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

While we're excited for you to capture our day, please hold off on photos during the ceremony. But once we're pronounced married, feel free to snap away to your heart's content.
