Sam(uel) and Leanne were introduced by a mutual friend while both were attending Bowling Green State University. Sam went on to graduate from the University of Toledo (yes, a friendly rivalry exists), but the two remained friends before starting their relationship. Throughout the years, the couple has bonded over their enjoyment of travel, seeking out nature hikes and craft breweries with every adventure. A mutual interest in watching and attending sporting events, particularly professional men's and women's basketball. And, of course, a love of family being most important.
