The Alfama District is a must-see! There are tons of sights here, whether you're walking or taking Tram 28 to hit all the stops. This is the oldest and most colorful neighborhood in Lisbon. It is hilly and a bit of a maze. If you ever find yourself disoriented, always head downhill and it will lead you back to the wide open avenues.
The Vasco da Gama Shopping Mall has tons of shopping and restaurants. Alex tells us the Continente Supermarket (ground level) has the best wine selection in all of Lisbon!
If you're a Harry Potter fan, Porto is where J.K. Rowling spent a lot of her time writing and gathering ideas for her stories. Livraria Lello is noted as one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world. She also frequented Cafe Majestic and São Bento Station was reportedly her muse for King's Cross Station.
