How We Met

Fall of 2022

We first officially met each other when I (LeAnne) introduced myself to Joseph at the Auburn Christian Student Center one Tuesday night after a devo. He brushed me off and did not talk to me until I started making small talk with him every Friday during our Crops Judging class we had together. I asked him to do numerous things with me and my friends, but was always turned down. He finally asked me to go to Syrup Sopping in Loachapoka with him on Saturday, October 22. The day was awkward but... did you expect anything else? That night he invited me to come to 10th Street Church of Christ with him for neighbors day, and the rest is history.

The Proposal

8.26.23

The whole week leading up to and the weekend was fishy. My parents and our friend Kade were coming down to Auburn "just because." At that point I knew it was happening that Saturday; I just did not know when or how. We went out to eat at Irish Bread Pub with our friends and had planned to go to Sing Sing Karaoke after. On the way to karaoke, Joseph said he had to stop by the church to do something before services on Sunday. When we got there, he walked me to the front doors of the church, said some very sweet words, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him. The easiest yes I've ever said! Afterwards, our friends and families surprised us with the sweetest little party to celebrate us! And after the party... we obviously still went to sing karaoke! (well me and my girlfriends did, the boys did not participate)

For all the days along the way
