Visit Boulder. Home of the Colorado Buffaloes. Start with a hike at Chautauqua Park (should only take about 90 min round trip walking leisurely. Go to the Village Coffee Shop for Breakfast/Lunch. Drive by the University of Colorado and see the southern Italian architecture on your way to historic Pearl Street. Shop up and down the Pearl Street Mall and find one of the many amazing restaurants that line the street (Pasta Jays, Frasca Food and Wine, Bartaco, Hapa...) Then finish up your night with rooftop drinks at Avanti with an amazing view of the mountains.
Go to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and pet wallabies and feed giraffes on the side of Pikes Peak Mountain. See the Air Force Academy and its beautiful chapel. Get dinner at Bourbon Brothers across the street and tell them you know Joe Ghizzone. Stop by and say hi to Nick and Anne Ghizzone who are the newest residents of CO Springs.
Check out Red Rocks Amphitheatre. An amazing place to visit even if there is not concert going on. Head to the Golden Mill for food and drinks right by the Clear Creek. Walk around Historic Golden, CO. Go on a tour of Coors Brewery.
Denver Art Museum. Rockies Game at Coors Field. Denver Botanic Gardens. Meow Wolf. River North Bars and Restaurants. I would skip 16th Street (too touristy)
Try the distillery in Fairplay. Walk downtown Breckenridge. Mountain bike in Frisco. Raspberry Hot Springs in Idaho Springs. Fish and golf in Evergreen. Gamble in Black Hawk. Hike everywhere!
