We're Getting Married!

We met at a Worship Team Community Night at our church, which I (Leanna) was not even originally planning to go to, but decided last minute to attend. At the end of the night when everyone was packing up to go, as I open up the car door to head home, I hear my name being called behind me, which I didn't think was for me. I turn around with my thick slice of chocolate cake in hand and I see who I didn't know at the time would end up being the love of my life.

Where to start, well I guess let's start at the beginning. I (Omar) had planned proposing to her about four months prior to the actual proposal. The only person that knew at the time was my best friend/fam Pastor Jameil about me wanting to purchase the ring. I went ring shopping with my mom and brother, and I purchased the ring that same day; bought the band a few weeks after that. About a month before the day, I had sat with her parents to ask for her parents' blessing and that's when the planning began. Fast forward to the evening of, me, Lea and my brother, we walk to take some "photos for her graduation" at the beach and our family's would be following after in secret for the big reveal. My brother asks her to look away towards the ocean for a photo and as she's turning around my family with phones in hands comes ready for the big question and when Lea looks back, there I am on one knee with fireworks in the background as she said yes!
