When Two become One

It was the middle of March 2020, and everything came to a halt: the world, the business of life, everything. However, what never ceases is the will of God. His work will never come to a stop, and this is how their story began. Matthew and Leanna unexpectedly met in the uncertain time of the Covid-19 pandemic. Leanna just got plugged in at the Anthem Church young adult community, while Matthew came back home from working in Nevada, returning to this community. While the world came to a standstill, this community kept pushing forward, pursuing life with others virtually. Leanna and Matthew made their first connections in the weekly community group hosted by two beautiful souls Garrison and Meredith Wash. They led this group with humility and hope. Leanna knew, as she was getting to know Matthew from afar, that something was different about him. His authentic faith was evident in how he shared his life with the group. Matthew was curious who Leanna was and how God brought her to this group at such an unexpected time in his life. Well, what was clear was that God had a plan for these two. The community group started meeting in person, and Matthew and Leanna began to see this plan in action. Their chemistry was unspoken yet loud. Therefore, it was May 19, 2020, and they went on their first date. From that day, they knew they wanted to get to know each other more and more, and they are so beyond grateful that they get to spend the rest of their lives together walking in unity with Christ. The love they have is filled with passion, laughter, and faith. They want the world to see that God's plan will always override the rest of the world's, and all we have to do is listen and say YES!
