Things To Do
Tequila
There are plenty of fun things to do in the town of Tequila! You can walk around the town, experience mini tours riding the infamous chili bus to agave fields, check out local distilleries, enjoy tequila tastings, and eat delicious authentic Mexican food. We recommend you do the Jose Cuervo Tequila Tasting at their Distillery, which is located right next to the venue. The Welcome Cocktail Hour, Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding will take place here in the town of Tequila.
Centro de Guadalajara
Plaza Guadalajara is an urban square in Centro, Guadalajara! If you have time, we encourage you to spend a day touring around the beautiful city of Guadalajara.
Catedral Basílica de la Asunción de María Santísima
Located in El Centro, Guadalajara's main cathedral is the city's most iconic landmark. Twin 19th-century neo-Gothic bell towers rise above the original 16th- and 17th-century Spanish Renaissance-style structure giving it a unique mix of architectural styles. It's even more beautiful in person!
Bosque Los Colomos
The Bosque Los Colomos is a beautiful state park with walking paths, picnic areas, pretty landscaping & a Japanese garden. You can do an authentic horseback riding experience here! https://bosquesurbanos.mx/
Zoologico Guadalajara
This zoo is widely considered one of the most important in Latin America. It is the largest in the country with respect to species population. It contains over 2,000 animals and is located in a beautiful ravine with an incredible view of mountainous landscape. You can do a mini Safari ride and a Sky ride!
Lake Chapala
You can also take a day trip to Lake Chapala! It has been Mexico's largest freshwater lake since the desiccation of Lake Texcoco in the early 17th century. You can go on the boardwalk, take a boat ride out to the islands and walk around the local markets!
Tlaquepaque
If time permits, you can take a day trip to the cute city of Tlaquepaque! It's tucked just outside of Guadalajara and is known for its rustic streets, artisan stores, delicious restaurants, and ambient music.
