Airport Info: Please ensure you have completed your CHECK MIG (Colombia's Immigration Form) up to 48-hours prior to travel. Found here --->> https://apps.migracioncolombia.gov.co/pre-registro/en After you go through Colombia's Customs, I recommend you find a Foreign Exchange Window to get some on-hand Colombian Pesos. This will depend on the number of people in your family and how much you want to spend. Yes, there are more places to convert money in the city, but it's not as convenient and it's about the same exchange rate. $50-$500 USD should be enough per person to leave the airport. You can always exchange money back, but you will lose some in the conversion again. A second option is to check with your bank to see your Foreign Transaction Fees. For example, my Credit Union's Debit Card had zero fees, and I was able to withdraw throughout the city from an ATM. These are my personal experience. Please feel free to check. Current rate: Roughly $1 USD=about $4000 Colombian Peso

MDE Airport is an approximately 40-minute drive from the airport to the center of Medellin. Uber's/Lyft's and Private Taxis are available at the airport, as well as pre-reserved transportation. As an option, our Air BNB host also has a transportation company who has provdided some prices. Although I don't think it's the cheapest, he's a known name. 1-person $130.000 pesos 4-persons $230,000 pesos 8-persons $$320,000 pesos This includes luggage. His name is Andres Felipe and his WhatsApp Phone number is +573007139578 You would have to make arrangements with him 3-days before traveling and provide your flight information. Ask him what form of payment he receives.
