Our Love Story

Drew and Leah met May of 2015 in Boston. Despite Drew having 2 bachelor parties in Vegas, a NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 weekend, and his 5 year high school reunion in the 6 weeks following their first date, they always somehow managed to get the "next date" on the calendar. By the end of that Summer they were in full swing, had spent a lot of time with each other's friends, met each other's families, and were blissfully heading into football season as a couple. Neither one of them ever expected to meet someone who had the same, ahem, ...extreme emotion... towards their team winning or losing. Luckily Syracuse and West Virginia were no longer in the same conference. (The Camping World Bowl in 2018 is a different story for another time...) They spent the following 3 years in Boston together, exploring the city, going to dinner at their favorite restaurants (Bricco, Nico, Abe & Louies), spending a lot of time at their favorite bars with friends (Pour House, The Point, Mija, Dalton Sundays @ Bell in Hand and The Baseball Tavern), bowling more frames than most people would want to admit (with John Enright), and attending as many sporting events as they could. In August of 2018, Drew left Boston for home in Syracuse, and a new career. Leah stayed behind to finish out her lease with plans to join Drew the following year. The distance wasn't easy, but it wasn't too far, and they always managed to spend a couple weekends together each month. Drew proposed to Leah in July of 2019 while out in California. Drew wanted Leah's whole family around to celebrate the occasion, and was able to make that happen! Leah and Drew moved into their first place together in August 2019 in Syracuse and are looking forward to creating their life there.

First Date

05.06.15 - Fenway Park - Drew and Leah met for a drink at Cask n' Flagon, then went to a Red Sox game - which should come as a shock to absolutely nobody. Ended the night with a drink at the old Remy's - a 6 hour first date was a pretty good sign!

Yes Date

07.05.19 - Hermosa Beach, CA - Drew and the Sanginarios told Leah there would be a pre-dinner happy hour on Leah's brother, Joe's, roof-deck. When Leah walked up ahead of Drew she saw rose petals and champagne on ice, turned around wondering what was going on and Drew was on one knee behind her!

Best Date

05.07.21 - The State Room, Boston - Just one day off from the 6th anniversary of their first date! Taking it back to the city where Drew and Leah fell in love in to say "I Do!"
