Grandfather Vineyard & Winery
Sit back relax and sip some fine wines down at Grandfather Vineyard and Winery! Take in the beautiful views, get a charcuterie board, eat at the local food trucks and enjoy some live music. There is plenty of seating and they have a variety of sweet, dry, reds, whites and Rose’s to choose from. Anytime we come to the mountains we always stop here at least once!
Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster
You read that correctly- it’s a stinking roller coaster built into a mountain!!! This place is so cool and so much fun no matter how old or young you may be. Buy your ticket in advance through the link above :) they also have a great coffee and gift store onsite!
Famous Brick Oven Pizzeria
The best pizza on Beech Mountain! Plus they have mini golf right outside so it’s a great spot to hit :)
Sorrento's Italian Bistro
Hands down our favorite restaurant in all of NC. Get ready for the BEST Italian food you will ever have outside of Europe. Food, service, wine, live music, all of it is top notch!
Fred's General Mercantile
A Beech Mountain staple since 1979! The cutest local shop with great snacks, spices, sandwiches, clothes, gifts and so much more! Their famous phrase is “If we don’t have it, you don’t need it” :)
Hiking Spots - Emerald Outback Trail
There are plenty of hiking trails and great views to be seen between Beech Mountain and Grandfather Mountain! The website address above has recommendations for more beginner trails. If you are looking for something more serious - try out Grandfather Mountain’s Profile Trail :) It’s 7 miles with some steep inclines but views that are well worth it!
