What are the closest airports?

Answer

The largest major airport near Jekyll Island is Jacksonville (JAX). Smaller airports in Savannah (SAV) and Brunswick (BQK) are also nearby.

Are there any fees?

Answer

Jekyll Island is a state park that does not receive any state funding. Therefore, parking fees are required before entering the island. They are $10/day, and can be purchased before arrival. The Shrimp and Grits Festival will be happening the same weekend, so Friday and Saturday’s fee will be increased to $15. What days are the hotels blocked for?

Answer

We have the hotel rooms blocked from October 22-25. However, you are allowed to book on the 21st and the 26th and receive the same rate.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We ask for beach casual. Shorts and jeans are allowed, but no bathing suits. Flip flops are also allowed. We want everyone to be comfortable and treat this as a beach vacation.
