One Friday night, Leah was hanging out with her friends Esther and Arielle. They were discussing dating app woes. Leah opened JSwipe and swiped right on Matt. When they matched, Leah noticed Arielle was a mutual friend. Leah asked, "Is this guy worth going out with?" Arielle immediately said, "Yes! He's amazing." After exchanging a few lines of dialogue over text (mostly Matt's sarcasm that Leah didn't understand), Leah and Matt met on a Saturday afternoon at Dr. Smood in Brickell City Centre. She was all of three minutes late, but he still gave her a chance. They had a great conversation about books and the best places to eat in Miami. While Leah was riding the escalator down from Dr. Smood to the parking garage, she received a text from Matt asking when he could see her again.

One day in August, Matt said to Leah, “I am getting my hair cut in two weeks. Do you want to come with me and you can get your nails done next door?” As soon as Leah heard this, she knew they were getting engaged. Matt worked with the concierge at their apartment building to send a fake invitation to a party for select residents in the outdoor area on the 45th floor. He showed it to Leah and said, “We should go to this and then we’ll go to dinner afterward.” When Leah and Matt got up to the 45th floor, she was shocked to see a pathway with beautiful flowers. After they got engaged, Matt told Leah that they were having dinner just the two of them on Miami Beach. When they arrived at the restaurant, Leah was surprised to see her parents and Matt’s mom, uncle, and sisters.
