It was the end of July 2019 and my mom was in town to help me set up my classroom. After working all day at my school we met some of my friends at El Tequila for dinner and National Tequila Day. We all had big margaritas then decided to go to the bar down the street, The Wolf Trap. A friend and I were at the bar buying each other shots for us to celebrate me finishing my first year of teaching and her getting her first teaching job. While at the bar I noticed a cute guy with a bucket of beer, so I pretended to steal one. Obviously, I wanted him to catch me. He told me I could keep it but I had just ordered my own and put his back. He proceeded to tell me if I need another drink I could come find him at his table. After going back and forth with my friend about him I went over to talk to him. All my friends were outside and noticed I had been gone for awhile. My mom comes in looking for me and taps him on the shoulder and asks who he was (he had no idea that was my mom) so he whipped around real quick and asked who she was. My mom introduced herself to him and asked his name. Without hesitation she quickly added him on Facebook (such a mom thing to do I didn't even know this guy). Before we left Macario and I exchanged numbers. About a week later he called me on a Friday night. There was no way I was going to answer a phone call from a guy I didn't really know. When I didn't answer he left me a voicemail that I shared with everyone. It was so cute and definitely sealed the deal for our first date. We went on one date and never stopped talking!
