Maid of Honor
Kara, my big sister, and now my maid of honor! Kara is basically a third parent to me, and growing up she has always been my role model. Before making a decison, I'd say to myself "Well what would Kara do?" Then I'd call and ask her to make all my decisions for me. Now she gets to help me make all my decisions for my wedding! Kara is the big sister everyone wants, but I’m the lucky one who gets to have her! I can’t imagine making all these wedding decisions with anyone else!
Bridesmaid
We aren't just cousins, we're sister cousins. Alexis and I are only 8 months apart so we've always been attached at the hip at every family gathering. We use to be each others "pen pals" before we were able to get cell phones and text. We continued the tradition of doing everything together by both getting married in 2023. Alexis is getting married in August, while I follow in September, and I wouldn't want to go through this with anyone else.. it just makes sense to do it together!
Bridesmaid
Jenna is another sister cousin to me and I love her dearly. We share the same face, and we both enjoy making sister cousin Alexis uncomfortable with our weird jokes (Alexis secretly loves it though). Jenna has always been there for me, and is that cool big sis to me. I don't know what I'd do without her and her handsome husband Kevin!
Bridesmaid
Sam, my QUEEN! I don't know if there is anyone I'm obsessed with more than Sam. Sam is my brother Tommy's wife. Tommy and Sam are high school sweethearts, so Sam has always been in the Rennie/Monocello family. I guess you could say I wanted to be Sam considering I started dating Joe in high school too. Sam, thank you for smiling and listening while my family tells the same stories over and over again. (You are the best thing to ever happen to Tommy)
Bridesmaid
Amelia and I have been best friends since 5th grade. Amelia has the kindest heart and sweetest soul. She is someone who has been there for me no matter what and I'm blessed to have her in my life. We went to Queen of Heaven and Mount Mercy together and stayed besties since. We still laugh like we did when we we're 10 and will continue to when were 80!
Bridesmaid
Elena and my friendship blossomed in high school. Elena is extremely loyal and extremely fun (my two favorite qualities in a person so I made sure we became besties). You can't miss Elena with her gorgeous curls and fun energy. Elena, thanks for always making me laugh, but also being there when I need you.
Bridesmaid
Lindsey is Joe's sister but also my new sister! I seriously don't know how I got so lucky. Lindsey is the IT girl that my friends and I have always been obsessed with for obvious reasons, but I'll name a few- She is so fun, so hilarious, so stunning, but above all else she is kind and compassionate. If I could hand pick anyone to be my sister in Law it would be Lindsey.
Bridesmaid
Lauren is somehow both beauty and brains (God really does have favorites). Lauren and I have been best friends since grammar school and then going to the same high school together. Lauren is my girl, and I love her to death. Make sure to catch Laur on the dance floor at the wedding, she will most definitely be there all night being the best and most fun.
Bridesmaid
Cassie is a perfect human and somehow allows me to be friends with her. Cassie and I got our first jobs together as lifeguards. Tanning and being there by 10am was a really hard job, but we got through it together. Cassie got married to her best friend, Pat, last summer who is also Joe's friend, which is so fun. I can't wait for forever double dates with wine and the boys driving us home.
Bridesmaid
Nikki is the person who I have been friends with the longest! Nikki is the most easy going, down to earth person and has always been a good and true friend to me. Nikki and I have known each other since birth because we both lived on the same street. When we got older we played West Seneca Travel soccer together and always stayed close ever since. Also- Nikki is goals, be like Nikki.
Bridesmaid
Gabby was my college roommate all four years at St. Bonaventure. (Go Bonas!) Without Gabby I don't think I would've survived college. Even though Bonnies wasn't too far from home, I was still nervous. I had such a great group of friends and family in Buffalo, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find that anywhere else. I was wrong, Gabby was awesome and hilarious since the day I moved in. We would have dance parties and she would make me drinks and I would do her makeup before we went out (an amazing duo if you ask me). Gabby even saved my life at a Bonnies Basketball Game. The fans stormed the court during a game and my short self got trampled. (picture the lion king scene, you know what I'm talking about.) Gabby grabbed me and pulled me up by my weave while Joe was somewhere embracing the craziness and cheering.
Bridesmaid
Some call her Monica Bebak, some call her Monica Shriver, but the real ones call her Moon. Moon is someone who I sorta forced to be my friend and I’m so glad I did, because she’s truly the best. Even though she's laid back and chill and I'm well not, she still is my friend. There’s a reason everyone likes her, she is just a good person and good friend. I'm happy to have a moon in my life.
Bridesmaid
Kristen is Joe's sister in law, but also someone I'm so thankful for. Kristen has an extremely kind heart and loves like no other. I can't imagine becoming a Piegay with anyone else. Kristen and I both love Piegay brothers so it makes sense we love each other. Kristen, thank you for being such a great sister to me, I can't wait to make amazing memories together within this fun and silly family.
Best Man
Josh is my oldest brother and the perfect person to have as your best man. Not only was Josh like a 3rd parent to me growing up (Kara is not alone) he is also one of my best friends. Not many kids can say that about someone 6 years older, but I certainly can. Having my role model include me in everything is something I’ll forever be grateful for. I’m lucky to have him by my side on my big day!
Groomsman
Jake is my brother and best friend since birth. Once known as twins born 2 years apart because of our blonde hair, tan skin, and inseparability. Jake is the life of every party and can make you laugh with just a look. Look out for his quick moves on the dance floor, or watch him slow it down with his signature slug move! He is someone I continue to look up to, and steal my jokes from!
Groomsman
Nolan (aka Skip) has often been referred to as the 4th Piegay brother. Honestly, I’ve looked up to him my whole life. Nolan was Josh’s best friend and a part of our family before I could walk. Like Josh, Skip always included me, and I couldn’t be happier to have him up there with me.
Groomsman
Tommy, the big scary older brother of Leah. The guy I was supposed to fear is actually one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. He could’ve tried to intimidate me away, but instead he always made me feel welcomed. Leah and I are lucky to have a guy who's always looking out for our best interest. I can’t wait to officially be his brother in law!
Groomsman
Though Drew will probably mock me for writing something nice about him I’m going to do it anyway. Drew is Leah's brother in law and thankfully for me another goofy Timon guy. Early on Leah told me he would tease and prank me, but I knew if he did that means he loves me. Awe Drew! I’m happy to have him up there, I just hope he takes it easy on me September 29th!
Groomsman
Aside from my brothers, Panek is truly the guy who has been my friend since day one. The two Joe P’s were born just 14 days apart and lived a chip shot away from each other. Rumor has it that his mother stole my name during a pregnancy walk with my mom. Even if it’s true there isn’t a guy I’d rather share a name with. 26 years, multiple schools and hockey teams later and they still can’t separate us. Pretty obvious I wasn’t doing this day without him!
Groomsman
Faliero is the guy we all need to thank for making this day happen. It was Mike's house on a beautiful summer day where Leah and I first met. It isn’t really a surprise since Mike is the guy who always brings people together for a good time. This is why he was the perfect fit for the worlds greatest hockey line ever assembled, the Mike Joe Joe line. (Faliero, Panek, Piegay) Even though my Dad made him cry on the bench (lol) he has been one of the most loyal and best friends I’ve ever had.
Groomsman
I’ve known Colin since we were crazy little kids running around Caz hockey banquets. However, we really became as close as we are now because of our time at Timon. When he came to Timon he became my linemate in hockey, attack partner in lax, and partner in golf. Little did I know he would also become a lifelong friend. We like to call him the Mayor because it seems like everywhere we go he runs into someone he knows. It must be his outgoing personality and love for people that makes him so easy to get along with. I’m happy he came to Timon and even happier to have him a part of my big day.
Groomsman
David married my sister in June of 2021 which made him my favorite brother in law. Right from the start of their relationship I knew I’d like Dave. He’s easy going, fun to be around, but best of all he golfs A LOT… like more than me! However, with all this practice he still can’t beat me. (He married my sister, I had to take a shot at him somewhere) I’m very grateful my sister found someone I’m happy to call my brother!
Groomsman
Brandon (aka Donny) and I met back in 4th grade when our grammar schools combined. I’m not really sure how we became friends…Most likely sports. I just remember I wanted to be on the team with the fastest kid in the world. (I’ll still put my money on him) We eventually went to Timon together where our friendship grew even more. Donny was one of the only kids who would go out of his way to say hello to my parents before joining the student section. Always happy and having a good time, I just had to pick the fast kid for my team one more time!
Groomsman
Once Robby, now Rob, soon to be Bob is one person I really couldn't get rid of all these years. Our friendship started at Notre Dame Academy. Then we went to Timon together. Then we went to St. Bonaventure together. Then we graduated and I was free at last.. SOONK Rob and I ended up at the same company as well. I can say I wish I was making it up but I don't wish that. Rob is honestly the only person I could be around all that time with no problems. He is one of the easiest going and best friends I could ask for. I can’t wait to do another life changing event with him.
Groomsman
I met Pat back in grammar school. We got along right off the bat… literally when I was on the mound I wanted PK in the field. Pat is someone who can get along with anyone. When I asked him to join our softball team I knew I wasn’t just getting my Jeter back I was adding someone everyone would love. Last summer I was honored to stand with him on his wedding day and I can't wait for him to do the same for me!
Groomsman
I met Gould back in Mite House hockey. We weren’t always on the same team or going to the same school but we were always friends. Then our freshman year at Timon is when we really became close. I promise you I liked Gouldy for his personality and not because his backyard was the golf course (If you know, you know) He then joined me at Bonnies turning the best 4 years of our life into 8. If the parents weren’t reading I’d share more, but I couldn’t do this day without the guy who threw us the best engagement party ever!
Ring Bearer
Our Ring Bearer Brooks is Leah's Godson and Joe's best buddy. Brooks likes cuddling with his "Wou Wou" and playing "no flippies off the dock" with his "friend Joe." He is the eldest cousin of the Rennie family so it only makes sense he takes on such a huge responsibility!
Flower Girl
Gianna! This sweet and precious niece just had to be our flower girl! Gianna takes after her Lou Lou by loving to sing and dance. Joe loves Gianna's easy going side too. She likes her snacks and just chilling watching Frozen or Moana. Little Gianna has such a sweet heart and we can't wait to see her in a white dress and a little baby's breath crown! (Just like what Leah wore when she was a flower girl for her cousin Jeff & Dynelle wedding!)
