In August of 2016 Leah moved to Thief River Falls with some friends and Started working at Walmart in December. About 2 months after she started working Leah saw Jake from across the backroom and knew he was the one for her. Time stood still, her heart raced, all she saw was him and it felt as though her soul sighed with relief and said: "there you are". After weeks of glances, flirting online and lunch dates, Jake asked Leah on a date, and they have been together ever since.
Jake and Leah got engaged the December of 2017 and planned to wait to get married in 2020 following Leah's college graduation. However, COVID happened and they were forced to reschedule. Leah moved to Minnesota and they had a small ceremony in July of 2020. After 4 (ish) years of planning and 3 postponements the happy couple has decided they just want to  celebrate with their loved ones.
