Hayden and I met while he was traveling with Kasey Kahne's Outlaw team, and I was catching as many races as possible with my dad. He claims to have seen me for the first time at Eldora Speedway (in Rossburg, Ohio) while I was standing on top of my dad's trailer watching the races. He figured out who I was thanks to his friends, and I received a message on Facebook a few days later. We talked A LOT over the next month or so and finally saw each other again at the Knoxville Nationals. We hung out as much as possible during that week, so much so, that Hayden even got in trouble for it. Once the week ended, we went back to Ohio and North Carolina, and I was heartbroken once I realized that it wasn't going to last between two high schoolers in different states. Thankfully our story wasn't over there...
Hayden and I started dating in early 2018 after years of being close friends. We were both single and the timing just finally felt right. From pretty early on in our relationship, we knew that we would get married and talked about our future quite often. I always told Hayden that I wanted a photographer to be there when he proposed. It didn't matter if they had to hide in the bushes or behind a car, but someone, anyone had to get pictures of it. When Hayden asked if I wanted to get fall pictures taken with our dog, I was super excited but also confused because he hates pictures. I wasn't going to turn them down though! The day of our pictures was completely normal. I left work, met Hayden and Kacey, and off we went. During the last 10 minutes of the shoot, Hayden surprised me, got down on one knee and pulled out the most beautiful ring I've ever seen, all while our amazing photographer was capturing the special moment!
