We met where it is fitting for a Giant to meet a mortal woman. Atop the mountains. He noticed her hat and adventurous spirit. She noticed his sheer Irishness. Apparently that was enough. She was obsessed from that moment. She spent years researching and waiting for her time to strike. Wishing, staying, hoping...

Essentially, it was the memes. From afar, Finn can seem pretty eligible. Especially when hidden behind his god-given talent for meme curation. Leah is tenacious and lovely, and managed to put her name on every post he made. Eventually, after a year of trying to get his attention, she succeeded. After moving to France, Finn found himself wanting to call someone from home, and somehow, Leah came to his mind. He had never called her before, but her advertising had worked. Once he started, he couldn't stop. He called and called. Every week, twice a week, he called. They each spent their lives, hoping. Separately, they bumbled through, slowly collecting mementos of the person who would one day be there when they needed them. A global pandemic, some very serious depression, job loss, a trans-continental move, and a year later, they found themselves where they always hoped they'd be. Completely themselves, absolutely loved.

Now, this is the part you've all waited for. Well and truly, this starts in February of 2020. Finn and Leah played minecraft together, and he would make her small mysteries to unravel. Eventually, he put something together that was big, very big. An expansive underground 3d maze. A HIDDEN expansive underground 3d maze. A DEADLY hidden expansive underground 3d maze. The maze was hidden beneath an aquarium he'd built to cover. Very few clues were left for her to find that even hinted at the existence of the maze. Days later, Finn received the message, she'd found it, clever girl. It took Leah nearly a month to both find and solve the maze and its riddles, but lying at the end, in bright blue Lapiz letters, "April". The month in which Finn would fly to American and ask her out. Along with it, a note, "The ticket is a lie..." This was all to hint at an elaborate plan Finn had made for the beginning of their dating relationship. Alas, 2020 was not so kind that March. Finn's plans did not get to be set in motion as they should have been. The maze had to be repurposed. April had to take on new meaning, as well as that ticket... One year later from the day Finn began to make that maze, he gave Leah a valentines gift. It was his boarding pass from when he'd fled France due to covid into her waiting arms. It had been framed, and seemed a pleasant enough gift for such an occasion... but the ticket was a lie my friends. Behind the ticket was written a question, one of awesome consequence and significance. "Will you marry me". The ball was in her court, as she was told, she now held her destiny in her own hands. Should she discover the secret, it would be as valid as any proposal he could have given. She did not, as fate would have it, Finn finally got to follow through on a big plan. She solved a riddle, brought the ticket, and found her man. He revealed the ticket's secret, sang her a song, and promised her his name. Come watch the end yourselves...
