Eric and I first met where many begin their search for love these days; the internet! We chatted for several weeks through the spring and into summer and we found we had a lot in common; Hiking, traveling, cooking/eating and spending time with friends and family. Somewhere along the way Eric took a trip to visit his brother Brad. While away he shared photos of the pair dining out and enjoying cocktails by the pool. I was a little apprehensive about the adult beverages at 10:00 in the morning; so I took a break from the virtual chats. Eric, was not deterred! After 2 days of radio silence he continued to pursue me, saying I was a "tough crowd". We had such a great initial connection, plus Eric's dashing good looks and terrific sense of humor meant... I had to give him a 2nd chance. A few phone calls, lunch dates and hikes at the park later, we were well on our way to getting engaged. Eric proposed 10 months later on my birthday, May 2022, while we were on a camping trip in North Carolina.
