Leah and Dave first met on January 17, 2014, at Zen Bar in Plainville, Connecticut. Leah was out for karaoke with friends, serving as the designated driver, while Dave was there hoping to meet new people. When he saw her across the room, he didn’t know what to say—until someone started singing and he boldly asked, “Wanna dance?” At a karaoke bar. That unexpected moment sparked a friendship full of laughter, connection, and an unmistakable pull that lingered through the years. Though life took them in different directions, they always found their way back to each other. By the turn of 2020 into 2021, timing finally aligned, and what began as a “will they / won’t they” friendship became a love story written by fate. Together, they’ve built a life filled with creativity, laughter, and adventure—with three cats, trailbound travels, and endless "yes, and..." moments. On Halloween night, Leah’s favorite holiday of the year, Dave proposed in a private, heartfelt moment at home before surprising her with a masked celebration surrounded by some of their favorite people.
