Things To Do

Boston Public Library - Central Library

700 Boylston Street, Boston, MA 02116

It is truly beautiful. We almost skipped the wedding and eloped here. Highly recommend making your way through all of the rooms, then heading over to L.A. Burdick for a handmade chocolate snack.

Blue Nile Restaurant

389 Centre Street, Boston, MA 02130

One of our favorite restaurants in one of our favorite neighborhoods. If you're looking for food recs in a specific neighborhood or for a specific cuisine, just ask!

The Wig Shop

27 Temple Place, Boston, MA 02111

A favorite cocktail spot

Bova's Bakery

134 Salem Street, Boston, MA 02113

People are always debating which North End bakery is better: Modern or Mike's? We say skip both and go to Bova! The Florentine cannoli is our favorite and their tiramisu is award winning. You can check out some historical sites like the Paul Revere house while you're visiting the North End if you like.

Charles River Esplanade

Storrow Drive, Boston, MA 02116

The Charles is always beautiful but the weekend of our wedding also happens to be the weekend of the largest regatta in the country. It should be bustling with cool boating activities. Definitely worth checking out, but be prepared for crowds.

Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

25 Evans Way, Boston, MA 02115

This museum has a cool art heist story and a really neat collection. It's also right down the street from the art museum if you want more art.

Fenway Park

4 Jersey Street, Boston, MA 02215

There should be Red Sox games happening in October. We've had a blast at every game we've attended. Even if there aren't any games, Fenway is a fun spot to check out.

Middlesex Fells Reservation

4 Woodland Road, Stoneham, MA 02180

Want to get out of the city? Check out the fells. Beautiful hikes and a great opportunity to take in some of the fall New England foliage.

North Station (MBTA)

186 Canal Street, Boston, MA 02114

If you really want to go for an adventure, use the commuter rail and get out of town. The MBTA commuter rail is $10 for unlimited rides on the weekends. We've loved every commuter rail adventure we've ever taken, but some of our favorites have been: Newburyport, Salem (which will be insane in October), and Providence. Pick a place and go have fun.
