The funniest thing is how they JUST missed each other at Samford. Chadwick graduated in May 2016 and Leah started that August. They didn't connect until November 2021 when Chadwick came up on Leah’s recommended accounts to follow on Instagram. She thought he was cute and followed him. A few weeks later, Chadwick so gracefully slid into her DMs and they started talking and became friends. They connected over their mutual love of Lord of the Rings. Chadwick knew right then that he liked this girl. A few weeks later, Chadwick sent Leah a potato with a picture of her cats printed on it. She knew then that she liked this guy. They met in person for the first time in January 2022 when Leah was in Birmingham from Albertville for a conference. They had lunch and got to know each other better. Soon after that, she and Chadwick met up again during a show choir competition. He brought her a favourite treat of hers she mentioned missing from Birmingham. The following week they Facetimed every night, talking for hours. They crossed paths again that Saturday at another show choir competition where Leah surprised him with his favourite candy and a doodle of a penguin on a post it note. A few days later they went on their first date and had an instant connection. Chadwick says he fell in love with Leah after he heard her sing Bohemian Rhapsody while they were in the car together on their first date. They knew only four months in that they wanted to commit to one another and get married someday. Since then, their love for each other has continued to grow and they have been able to love and be there for one another through many difficult life events. They are so excited to get to love each other for the rest of their lives.
