Celebrate with us!

Our story began 18 years ago, but neither one of us knew it at the time. We began classes at a ministry school the same year as classmates. We were friends in a general sense but not very personally acquainted with each other. We graduated three years later, and both addressed our class for the graduation ceremony. Life’s calling took us our separate ways, and we were only distantly aware of each other. Until July of 2021. Ben traveled from SC to PA for seminary classes near our alma mater where Leah is still employed. We reconnected one evening as old classmates catching up. Something stirred in both of our hearts. We continued our conversations. We laughed a lot. There were some tears. Within days, we knew that our paths had not crossed by chance. God had orchestrated our steps in the years we had been serving him in different places. He gave us both the awareness that our next chapter of life was to be together. In October of 2021, Ben was unexpectedly hospitalized, and Leah traveled south to help while he was in the hospital. Ben staged a candlelight picnic dinner (with the help of some awesome friends and family) where he popped the question. Leah returned home with a ring. We share many passions and dreams and have the same goal of serving God wherever he sends us. We dream of continuing the adventure of life no longer on two separate pathways alone, but together as one, on one journey for One. Life has come full circle and we will be returning to the school where it all began – to be married in the chapel where we both worshiped and spoke to our class all those years ago. We will start our life together in South Carolina. Thank you to all the friends and family who have supported us as individuals and as we progress into life as Mr. and Mrs. Woodard.
