Maid of Honor
Jess and I are only 15 months apart so naturally we have been very close as long as we can remember. We've shared bedrooms, clothes, friends, pets, and countless experiences together. I am so incredibly lucky to have such a great friend who also happens to be my slightly younger sister.
Best Man
Kaan and I met in college playing poker in his freshman dorm room. Because Kaan and I live in different states, we text a lot; so much so that he have developed our own shorthand text language. Through our love of soccer, stupid bets, and getting injured we have sustained our friendship for more than 15 years. The picture above is an example of one of our stupid bets - the PPW. I'm honored to have Kaan as my best man.
Bridesmaid
I first met Mary when she started working at Cafe Normandie with me almost 15 years ago. It only took one night of hanging out with her that I realized she was a wonderful person. Mary has always been a great friend, the kind of friend you can say anything to and they won't judge you, also the kind of friend who will run half marathons with you, and who is always up for drinking bubbles and staying up all night laughing about anything and everything.
Groomsman
When I moved to Baltimore in 2010, I immediately signed up as a free agent in the first soccer league I could find - open men's league on Thursday nights at Soccer Dome I. After playing a few weeks, Jason, one of the only people on the team that didn't drive me absolutely crazy, asked me if I wanted to join another team he played on. Throughout the last ten years, Jason and I have played hundreds of soccer games together and had just as many tactical discussions afterwards. Without Jason, I may have never really found my "home" in Baltimore and quite possibly never found Leah.
Bridesmaid
I first met Molly when I worked a summer at Pussers. She was super friendly and we hit it off pretty well. I only worked there for a summer but we stayed friends. Molly has always been a very caring person, she has always been there for me when I needed someone. We have some really great memories together over the years.
Groomsman
Charlie and I met through soccer - of course. He is the Giggs to my Beckham. You can frequently find us standing over the same dead ball covering our mouths and quietly discussing who is going to take the free kick. In addition to playing together, Charlie and I share a love for Manchester United and are always planning the next outing to a local pub to watch our favorite team.
Bridesmaid
I met Kim when we both attended the Honor Academy in Texas way back in 2001. We both lived there for a year and became really good friends. Kim lives in Tulsa, OK, but thanks to technology we have stayed close despite living so far away. She always the best advise and I can ramble on to her about anything and she always listens.
Groomsman
Amir and I met... playing soccer of course. He's one of the nicest most grounded people I've ever met. An all around great guy and terrific teammate, Amir and I have been friends for almost ten years.
Bridesmaid
Sarah is my youngest sister. Although she is much younger she is still a great friend. She was amazingly helpful with Emily when I was trying to find my way into a career. She has grown up to be a wonderful mother and a truly caring person.
Groomsman
Ian and I have been friends for over 15 years. We met in college my sophomore year at the University of Delaware. Since then, we've gone on adventures - some benign, some nearly treacherous but all fun. Ian is a friend I've been able to count on since day one.
Honor Attendant
Emily is my daughter, she is my world, she is super smart and caring, and she makes me very proud to be a mother.
Groomsman
I met Brandon around 2014 through mutual friends. He's a great friend and an extraordinarily accepting human being. I know this because it took me about a year to finally remember his name. We share our love for all things Baltimore including Ravens, Os, crabs, and Bohs.
Flower Girl
Lilly is my first niece, she is super smart and a joy to be around!
Groomsman
Chris (whose first name I didn't know for about 5 years) and I have been playing soccer together since around 2011. As much as it pains me to say, I do appreciate that he's a straight shooter when it comes to his sports analysis. Yes I know, United isn't what they used to be. He's a guy that truly wants the best for his friends and someone I've always respected as a soccer player, pundit, and friend.
Ring Bearer
