Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Museum
If you love Lucy, the up close and very personal items and information curated in this museum, will wow you. Lucille Ball was born in a house on Stewart Ave, and then raised in nearby Celeron. Do a 2 for 1 admission with the National Comedy Center!
Roger Tory Peterson Institute
Born in Jamestown in 1908, Roger Tory Peterson is a famous ornithologist, naturalist, author and illustrator. There is a lovely short walk around the property too! See the cool birds! The Institute is home to the largest collection of Roger Tory Peterson’s work, the Roger Tory Peterson Institute is a leader for the study, exhibition and nurturing of art that matters to the planet. Through world class exhibitions and programs, RTPI illuminates the beauty of nature; challenges us to confront environmental issues of regional, national and global concern; and inspires us to preserve the earth’s biodiversity – with a particular emphasis on the natural area wonders of Western New York.
Fenton Historical Center
Visit the family mansion of Governor Reuben E. Fenton (1819-1885), U.S. Congressman (1853-1864), New York State Governor (1864-1869) and U.S. Senator (1869-1875). The Home was built in 1863. FUN FACT: My Uncle Bob portrayed Gov. Fenton in Jamestown when we were growing up!
