Jake & Leah first met on January 30, 2010 — Jake’s 19th birthday — at a fraternity party our freshman year at UCLA. Despite poor lighting, bad techno, and unfortunate hat choices (fedoras are rarely a good idea, friends), we hit it off. Over the next decade, a wonderful friendship ensued, spanning music festivals, backpacking trips, visits to respective hometowns, and too many beach days and breweries to count. Then, in the deep pandemic days of October 2020, something changed. Over the past four+ years, we’ve continued adventuring together as a couple — sharing a home, hiking trails, all the fantastic and difficult things life can throw one’s way, and two very opinionated cats. Our lives, friends, and families are already beautifully intertwined. We can’t wait to make it official with all of you at the Marin Art & Garden Center this October!
