Question

What if we come early?

Answer

That's amazing! We will be up there starting on Monday and we'd love to see you! Nothing formal is (or will be) planned, but we're planning to host potluck dinners at the lake house we'll be staying at and we everyone is welcome to come by and hang out anytime throughout the week. We know weddings can pass in a blur and we want to spend as much time with you as possible.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

June is the beginning of summer in Vermont, with average temperatures in the mid-60s to mid-70s. June tends to be a wetter month, which is helpful for ensuring Lake Champlain levels stay high. Nights in June are perfect shorts and sweatshirt weather! That being said, Vermont weather can keep you on your toes! In fact, on June 8, 1816 Vermont had a storm that dumped 6" of snow across most of the state. Please keep your fingers crossed we don't see a repeat!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail attire for the wedding, please. Dresses, formal jumpsuits, LBDs, suits, slacks and button down shirts. If you are thinking about wearing heels, please note that the ceremony will be outside on grass. The welcome event and goodbye coffee are both casual.

Question

Do plans change if the weather doesn't cooperate?

Answer

Nope! Sleepy Hollow Inn's event spaces will allow us to have the wedding events on site rain or shine.

Question

What if I want to fly in?

Answer

The local airport is the Burlington Airport. It is 10 minutes to the hotels listed on our lodging page.

For all the days along the way
