Yes. Security is pretty fast, but there are peak times like any other mid-sized city airport. We recommend taking the David League advice of "always (try to) show up at the airport 2 hours before your flight." (parentheses added by his daughter)

Do I need a rental car?
Answer
This is a personal preference. Ubers and Lyfts are very accessible in Orlando with 2-7 minute wait times, and you can easily rent a car at the Orlando Airport. The bottom line is: Orlando is a sprawling city and cars are necessary to get around!

About 30 minutes. Definitely allow extra time if you're coming from East Orlando due to rush hour! 408 -> Turnpike is the only fast way to get there.
