This place has put Bentonville on the MAP! An amazing museum of American art, and our favorite part are the trails around it, connecting you to downtown one way, and sea of mountain bike trails the other way! If you want to walk to the museum from downtown (highly recommend!) start from the Compton Gardens trail head area, about a block or two from the Bentonville square!
Check out the iconic Walmart Museum, grab a fancy drink for Scotch & Soda, eat delicious pizza from Oven & Tap and/or Peddlers Pub, grab more Onyx Coffee and stroll around the quaint yet vibrant downtown! Other food recs: -Crepe's Paulette -The Preacher's Son (also has underground speakeasy style bar!) -Table Mesa -Food trucks near Compton Gardens -Ozark Mountain Bagels (SO GOOD) -Buttered Biscuit (best brunch around! not downtown, but pretty close)
The original city to NWA...Rogers! Walk around the lovely cobblestone downtown and check out the amazing shops and restaurants! There is also a trail system (right next to Phat Tire Bike Shop) that takes you to Lake Atalanta (or you can drive/park there) which is a great 2 mile loop trail around the lake! There is a big park area and mountain bike trails around there as well. Some of our favorite DT Rogers restaurants: -The Rail (pizza) -Yeyo's (tacos) -Hammontrees (gourmet grilled cheeses) -Havanna Tropical Grill (Cuban) -Onyx Coffee (the city block building downtown is their HQ and it is amazing!! Foreman Bar is also located inside there)
WOO PIG! Fayetteville is the heart of NWA's funk, and spirit! Walk through the U of A campus, stroll through the downtown square (maybe Farmer's Market Saturdays will be back by August!), and grab a bite or drink on Dickson Street! Some of our favorite places: -Farmer's Table for brunch (if it's back open!) -Little Bread Co (coffee/bakery) -Arsaga's Depot (the one on Dickson! it's coffee and delicious food) -Dickson Street Pub / 21st Amendment, both great Rooftop Bars! -Pinpoint (Pinball Bar!) -Taste of Thai -Damngoode Pies (pizza) -Feed & Folly -George's Majestic Lounge (if there is a concert Friday night, definitely worth checking out!)
Megan's favorite downtown! Known for tacos and the home of Tyson, (Tacos Don Guero is the best!) this downtown has been recently renovated and has a lot going for it! Cute shops, the greenway runs right through, and some great bars/food! Downtown Springdale is also close to another trailhead, Mount Fitzgerald (Google Bayyari Park for where to park) which are some awesome mountain bike trails that are great for hiking! -Bike Rack Brewery Springdale -Black Apple Cider -The Odd Soul -Tacos Don Guero or Tacos Guanajuato -Trailside Cafe
Follow the neon lights to, "You Belong Here"! Another museum that just opened in Bentonville this March. It also just re-opened after shutting down for COVID late June, so honestly, we haven't been--but we have heard great things! It is a more modern art museum AND there is a new renowned Onyx Coffee shop inside...check it out!
One of our favorite places to hang out! We will most likely plan a meet up here on Saturday 8/15, but there is so much to do and see! It's also right off the greenway trail & walking distance from the Momentary! -Bike Rack Brewery (with outdoor seating) -Food trucks -The Holler (restaurant/bar/coffee/shuffleboard) -Markham and Fitz Chocolate -Sweet Freedom Cheese (AMAZING CHARCUTERIE BOARDS)
