Waterloo Village is a restored historic 19th century canal town. Waterloo possessed all the accommodations necessary to service the needs of a canal operation, including an inn, a general store, a church, a blacksmith shop (to service the mules on the canal), and a watermill. It is now a state park and is open to the public. We totally recommend taking some time prior to the start of the wedding to walk the grounds - it is beautiful, rich in history, and perfect for some pre-wedding photo ops!
Fall at Donaldson Farms is a festive and fun time of year with numerous things to do for you and your family or group. 2019 Fall Harvest Weekends begin Saturday, September 28th and continue every Saturday and Sunday through October 27th for all your favorite fall activities PLUS apple picking, pony rides, hayrides, freshly-grilled foods and more.
We went here with our moms for some celebratory drinks after booking Waterloo Village as our wedding venue. It has a laid back vibe and its BYO food (we ordered a pizza to the brewery).
