It all started on a random Tuesday in March 2023 - as most great love stories do… with a recreational kickball league. We had each recently moved to New York and were on a mission to meet new people and make the city feel a little more like home. During one of the early games, our teams faced off. In a bold and unforgettable moment, Lea attempted to catch a pop fly at second base… and instead took it straight to the face, sending her backwards. A tough look - but a critical turning point. Jonah’s teammates came to her aid, which led Lea to join the post-game flip cup competition at a nearby bar, Kilo Bravo. When she walked into the bar, she spotted Jonah standing alone and figured, why not go say hi and make a new friend. Neither of us knew it at the time, but that small, courageous decision kickstarted something we hold incredibly close to our hearts. A ripple effect that cascaded into our love story.
