Our journey started with a swipe to the right and a little bit of faith via Facebook. Our first date was at Eau Claire Dells filled with hiking, tacos, and being told not to park like an a**hole by a stranger. This was only the beginning of our journey. Lea always says that God gave her Jeremy when she needed him the most. We both knew that God had a hand in us being together and making our busy lives work so well. The dates continued as the challenges of busy schedules, children, dogs and distance were overcome. The two of us were inseparable. There were many late nights, long discussions, good times, and Sunday morning church services. Little pieces of the puzzle started to fit together to form a much bigger picture. We found a level of connection that was unlike anything else before. It became clear that we had something very special. The children were later introduced, and we found that they really enjoy each other. We do everything that we can to make a great life for them. Some of our adventures and time together have been a family trip to Michigan and Eagle River, fishing, biking, hiking, softball, and tubing. One of our favorite things to do is have ice cream on the deck at sunset. We have very open discussions with the children every night at bedtime. A little bit about us and what we do. Jeremy, introverted by nature, he has spent the last 24 years in the manufacturing field working as a Master CNC machinist and works at Waukesha Bearings in Antigo. He is also a real estate investor. An outdoorsman that enjoys upland hunting, fishing, reading, bird dogs, and dog training. But mostly his passion is being a Dad and spending time with the kids. Lea is a radiologic technologist (Xray tech) at Bone and Joint in Wausau, and the extrovert of the relationship. Lea keeps the family schedule up to date on what actives we have planned and when everyone is coming and going. She enjoys working out at the gym, time with friends, running, biking, hiking, watching Willow's sporting events, and being a Mom. We are active members of our church, Apostolic Worship Center. With both have crazy busy work/family schedules, we still make it a point a few times a month to make time for just us and do date night. Jeremy is much better at planning them. Lea always tends to pick the places that are closed on that day. Some of our favorite dates include cribbage and wine, hiking with Maggie, asking each other random questions, and hot tub at the hotel. Our engagement night had a ton of behind the scenes work from Jeremy. First Jeremy sent Lea to get her nails done one Saturday after work. He secretly had an appointment made for her in case they said they were too busy. Sushi to go was the evening dinner option and the truck was cleaned from top to bottom. The step stool, blankets and lanterns were packed, and the truck loaded up. First stop on the way to the location was picking roadside flowers or maybe someone had planted them. This is still unknown. Jeremy said a little prayer for the rain to stop and to get a little bit of the sunset to peek through the clouds. As we parked the truck in the open field Jeremy’s prayer was answered. The table was set, and dinner with great conversations were had. After dinner was complete, we climbed into the bed of the truck. Jeremy took out a wooden box with pictures inside. He started hanging the photos on the back window of the truck. We took a walk down memory lane and all the amazing adventures we had created. After we wiped our tears, Jeremy took Lea's hand, and got out of the truck. He took me out by the sunset and asked “What are you doing for the rest of your life? Will you marry me?” Of course I said “YES!” We started a relationship focused on faith in God, Love, and old-fashioned family values. We are each other’s best support and best friends. We are excited to share our lives together and invite you to join us on our wedding day as part of this amazing journey.
