Book your flight into St. Thomas (STT), where you will take a taxi across town to Red Hook Dock and a ferry to St. John's. The ferries leave at the top of every hour between 7am and midnight and cost about $6/person. The ferry ride is only about 10 minutes. If you decide to rent a car, it is easiest to rent from the airport in St. Thomas and take the car barge over, which is also located at Red Hook Dock. If you have a car it makes sense to buy some groceries on St. Thomas before you head over. Make sure you confirm with the rental agency that it is okay to take the rental car to St. John. Jesse and Lea will be flying in on March 1st and leaving STJ on March 7.

This small hotel is affordable at $265/night for a single room w/private bathroom, and in a great location near downtown Cruz Bay. The reviews are great and free breakfast, but the rooms are small and simple. Great location right next to the ferry dock and walking distance to a lot of places (including not far from Jesse and Lea),
