In 2018, Lea began working at the Bloomington Country Club after dabbling in the country club scene for 3 years in South Bend. On her first day of training, a handsome and very tall gentleman walked in wearing sunglasses with a backpack slung over his shoulder. He was listening to music with one headphone in and didn’t quite hear Lea’s trainer introduce her. “What?” He said as he took out the headphone. “I said this is Lea, I’m training her today, she’s new.” The handsome and very tall gentleman then said, “Oh wussup, I’m G.” Lea’s palms started sweating and she felt her heart skip a beat, but all she could muster was a shy “Wussup” in response. G put his headphone back in, continued to play what was most likely Kevin Gates and clocked in for the night. Lea and G worked together for about 6 months after that, sticking strictly to conversations about work in passing. Lea asked G to help her put up tables, carry chairs, and ring in orders hoping that one day, he would have a ten minute conversation with her or at least give her the slightest indication of thinking she was at least mildly attractive. Then one day, it all clicked. As Lea was tidying up the bistro one night after an event, G came across a familiar sound in the hallway. Lea was listening to the new Offset album while she tidied. G came into the room and made a couple comments about the album, asked her if she knew about the Ying Yang twins (she didn’t) then went about his business. G later nobly added Lea on Snapchat using the “Add Contacts” feature and the two began to hit it off. A couple weeks later, they met up to watch G’s favorite series, Game of Thrones. That show would become the couple’s most disappointing series of all time despite its influence on the beginning of their relationship. Three weeks later, the two began dating and it was only happiness, love, and learning from there on out. Now G and Lea are asking you to join them as they say, “I do!”
