Most of you probably know the ending to this story- high school sweethearts! But let's talk how it happened. Once upon a time… in high school, David and Lauren technically met freshman year, but their paths somehow never quite crossed—despite sharing a bunch of mutual friends. That is… until junior year. David thought he was being super smooth (he wasn’t) and liked one of Lauren’s very old Twitter posts to get her attention. Classic hint drop, right? But in true Lauren fashion, she left him on read—digitally and emotionally. So what did David do? He liked a more recent post. This time, she finally gave in and acknowledged the effort (slow clap). Wondering how he got her number? Oh, just your average “I have no service, what’s your number?” moment… while sitting in the Tutor Zone—which, by the way, has some of the best Wi-Fi. Sneaky, David. From there, they started texting on and off. Life was busy with school, sports, and teenage busyness so things fizzled a bit—until one summer hangout before senior year when David came over with a friend to Lauren’s house to swim. A little spark reignited… and then fate stepped in. They were placed in the same campus ministry group and had to see each other every single day. (Thanks, universe!) By the end of September, David made it official. The rest of senior year was full of dances, late-night talks, discovering each other’s hobbies, and a whole lot of laughs. After graduation, they both decided to stay close to home and chase their own dreams—while continuing to grow together. Of course, no love story is without its ups and downs, but through it all, one thing was clear: they were in it for the long haul. So, in October 2023, David popped the question—and Lauren said yes! Now, they’re planning a life full of love, adventure, and probably way too many vacations (according to David lol). It’s been a journey filled with joy, growth, a little chaos, and lots of love—and they can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with you.. and of course their fur baby- Lucy!
