Two strangers, one from WA and one from NC living in Seattle. Both looking for new adventures, friends and someone to spend time with. Little did they know a single swipe right on a guy in a purple shirt eating a watermelon, and a gal with purple hair would be the match of a lifetime. On a casual night out (Andrea took casual a little too seriously in a "Friends" hoodie and top knot, and Henry (her dog) in the car...) on a Thursday evening. Andrea and LJ meet at Taco Chukis in Capital Hill. The tacos were amazing and the company was just perfect (And don't fight it Chuki's is just as good as Carmellos!). After a few more stops around Capitol hill it was hug and a good night that sealed the deal. That moment has lasted forever. Since then, Andrea and LJ have traveled the world together, eaten strange food together, moved cross country together and have begun building a life together full of love and laughter. With Henry and Tasha along for the ride and snuggles of course. Henry sadly crossed the rainbow bridge July 2023. Then Henry sent us both Tasha in October 2023. She has brought our household so much joy and continued snuggles.
After being delayed two years...because the world was burning...We were able to take our trip to Portugal and the Azores. LJ had previously been to the Azores before meeting Andrea and loved it, loved it so much that he wanted to return with Andrea. With covid, and fear of airport delays we finally got onto the little plane to Sao Miguel Island in the Azores. Only to be met with wild winds, and a go around. Which if you know what that is, probably know immediately that LJ LOVED IT. BUT we survived and actually landed our feet in the Azores! Day one was a mini road trip around the eastern part of the island. While exploring the island, LJ stalls at this one incredible lookout. He say's he's gonna nap, he says he's gonna watch the F1 race, he takes some photos! After some selfies, and timer photos on the Sony, Andrea walks away....however LJ is getting down on one knee. At first Andrea thought he was messing with her, and didn't see the ring, but after a moment realized it was really happening. In a fit of tears, Andrea says YES. We spent the rest of the week hiking, eating amazing food, drinking incredible drinks and soaking in the love we have for one another. Now time to take off to the next adventure. Our wedding.
