We met online and our first date was at Solstice Kitchen...I was on “Layne time” but I think Rob is glad that I finally showed up and rescued him from the ladies next to him at the bar!

Rob likes to spoil Layne with travel adventures! Our first trip was to Disney and College Football Bowl Games in December 2013. Gamecocks won and Buckeyes lost but we spent New Year’s Eve park hopping between Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios! We have enjoyed smaller get-aways to Charleston, Savannah, Asheville and Gatlinburg. But we have been fortunate enough to have gone on bigger trips to Cancun, New York City and a Caribbean Cruise to Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel!

While we were on our Caribbean Cruise we went to Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Our excursion included riding up a sky lift for a gorgeous view of the bay, a bobsled roller coaster ride, and climbing Dunn’s River Falls. While we were climbing the falls our guides pulled me to one of the shallow pools where Rob got down on his knee to ask me to marry him. It was quite a shocker to me but I remembered to say yes and he quickly put the ring on my finger and we were back to climbing! I was amazed Rob hadn’t lost the ring since it wasn’t in a box and completely paranoid that it would slip off my finger! Later that evening we called our parents to tell them the good news as we sailed into the sunset!
