Hi! I’m Madi, aka Matt and Laynes favorite person to ever exist. I met Matt first when we were freshman in college at Pasadena City College and I can still remember when he first told me about meeting Layne and I knew we’d be friends. Fast forward to now and we spend holidays together, Layne and I geek out over every book together, and I couldn’t imagine life without them. As for me, I’m a mental health therapist and I work with high risk kiddos ages 5-22 which I love. I’m married to my bestie boo Marcus who’s also in the wedding, the cutie with the green eyes and my go to fun fact is that I’m the oldest of 8 siblings. Let’s get these two hitched!

Hello I’m Megan! I met Layne way back in 2015, and we became close immediately. We bonded over both being dancers, our love for the beach, and Mexican food. I remember the first mention of Matt, stalking his Instagram, meeting him in their early days of dating, and thinking how good they are together. Flash forward - I live in the UK now, work a corporate job, got engaged the same year as Layne and we are both getting married 2026. My fiancé Keegan will also be at the wedding. Don’t be offended by his dry British sense of humor. I am so excited to celebrate Layne and Matt and to be a small part of such a beautiful day for them!

Hello my name is Gabe from Orange County. I am a carpenter who loves to work and stay busy during the week. On the weekends I typically hang out with friends and family any moment I can. I love watching movies, horse back riding, trying new restaurants and drinking. I met Matt and Layne thru a mutual friend at a music festival and since then our friendship just absolutely blossomed. We’ve continue to hangout, hit events and just keep be in touch with each other over the years and to many more to come.

Hello! My names Joshua. Somehow in 2020 when we were all locked away at home my friend group grew and I met Matt during this time (I promise we were safe, we all got the covid shots one week apart from each other). I genuinely saw Matt more than my family during this time. I’m so glad I had someone in the group I could joke around with (especially in Spanish). I remember meeting Layne & immediately thinking “yeah this makes sense, they match each other perfectly”. A little about me- I’m school-based therapist working with kids from elementary to high school. If you give me a tamarindo candy I’ll personally vouch for you to be on Santa’s nice list. My fun fact is that Billie Eilish has been my #1 artist on Spotify since college. So excited and happy to celebrate with these two on their big day!!!

In the past 6 years, they’ve had the opportunity to grow closer and create some amazing life-long memories. He enjoys attending music events, being in nature, any sort of hands on project, and getting lost in movies, shows, and music. He’s excited to be a part of this special day after witnessing this relationship grow from the start.

Hi, I’m Jayde Romero and I met Layne back at Humboldt State University, about a month before COVID hit. We had a class together — Sports Psychology — and even though our friendship was new, we instantly clicked. One of my favorite memories is when Layne, Matt, and I went to Applebee’s to have lunch in our cars, “six feet apart” to spend time together! Even then, we still found a way to laugh and make the best of things. Watching Layne and Matt grow into everything they said they’d become has been so inspiring, and I’m so happy to be here celebrating them today.

I’m Marcus. Back in 2017 my (now) wife told me she met a friend in college and she was going to introduce us. Fast forward and she brought Matt over to my house and didn’t even really introduce us, she just knew we’d be friends. Matt and I spent the whole pandemic locked up together and I had the honor of picking him up from his wisdom teeth surgery. For years my family joked with Matt that he made Layne up, especially when she lived in Arizona, because he always said “my girlfriend” but they never saw her. But now she’s just as much a part of the family as he is, they spend holidays with us, they know they can count on the Fernandez’s and they’ll always have their home base with us. I’m excited to get these two married and start a lifetime of love
