Welcome to our wedding website! We are so excited to celebrate with our favorite people in Cabo, Mexico. Thank you for making the trip to be part of this special weekend. We can't wait to eat, drink, dance, and create unforgettable memories with all of you.
We met on July 5, 2024, thanks to mutual friends who invited us to the same Fourth of July party. Matthew arrived wearing a very sophisticated American flag wolf T-shirt—with the sleeves cut off, of course. Ashley found the shirt both bold and memorable. We spent the evening talking while Matthew's sister, Madison, and her friends secretly kept tabs on us. Later that night, we headed to the Buffalo Chip Saloon, where Matthew dropped Ashley on the dance floor after one too many drinks. Fortunately, she survived, and we spent the rest of the night laughing about it. To this day, it's still one of our favorite stories.
Matthew proposed in Engelberg, Switzerland, surrounded by falling snow in the Swiss Alps. After taking the Gerschnialp funicular up the mountain and a snowy van ride to a restaurant nestled in the Alps, Matthew was doing his best to act normal. Unfortunately for him, Ashley became suspicious the moment he decided to cut their very first ski day short—a decision so out of character that it immediately raised a few red flags. Things became even more entertaining when Matthew completely missed the photographer standing in a dark jacket against the bright white snow. Ashley quickly spotted them, confirming all of her suspicions, but decided to have a little fun instead. While Matthew frantically searched for the photographer and insisted he was starving, Ashley kept suggesting they head into the restaurant, making his job even more difficult. Once he finally found the photographer, everything fell into place. In the midst of the snowfall, Matthew got down on one knee and asked Ashley to marry him. It was the easiest “yes,” one of our favorite stories to tell, and the perfect beginning to our next adventure together.
