Lozano met Erik on the job. The two have shared adventures ranging from dramatic to just outright bizarre and are close friends.

Caitlin and Kari met in Custom Made. It was a church program for young girls to study the Bible and make friends. There is no one more bright and sweet than Caitlin. She is a ray of sunshine and a blessing wherever she goes.

Dickens met Erik on the job. he has always been with Erik when searching for camps and the two worked together during minimum staffing conditions.

Johnson worked with Erik until being transferred to a special unit. While on the road, the two were a dynamic duo. The two have remained close friends.

Yoka also met Kari at work and introduced Zoe. The three became a power trio as there was no task to hard for us to overcome. The first thing Kari noticed about Yoka was unwavering compassion. This compassion towards coworkers and students is what Kari strives for everyday.

Howie was hired on the same day as Erik. The two have a shared interest in technology and Howie has been by Erik's side as a close friend and a creative guide for Erik's writing.

Eugene is Kari's #1 supporter. He supported her when she wrote her book, every dance, ever after school activity, every confusing thing she ever met in adulthood. He has been her steadfast rock from Day 1. She could never have asked for a better Dad.

Tim helped to raise Erik into the man he is now. He supported Erik through the Police Academy and has helped guide Erik through many obstacles in his life.

Ketty has been Kari's source of strength and achievement. Every trick Ketty has for photography, hosting, speaking, teaching, leading, and so much more, Kari has been watching. No Mom is as skilled in just about everything as Ketty. Every challenge she has faced, she has done so with grace and that is something Kari aspires to be.

Kay raised Erik and is the largest influence for who he is as a man today. The most influential quote in Erik's life came from her. "It is the duty of the strong to protect those who are weaker than them." This life lesson set the trajectory for Erik's life and lead him to becoming a police officer.
