Matt and I didn't really have much going for us in the beginning. Our finances were all over the place, he worked at Emory as an RT and I was a full time student. Pile that on top of having two and three kids running around a tiny apartment, and you've got a mess. As soon as we had the ability, we were given the opportunity to go and exchange our vows - so rather than have a wedding in the beginning, we decided to go to the court house and get it all done as soon as possible. We were given a judge who read our vows and we recited them while staring deeply into each other - not just into each other's eyes, but into each other. We said our vows and got all of our paperwork finished up at the end of the day on May 26, 2010 but all of our paperwork was completed the next business day, so it all says May 27, 2010. I always say that our anniversary spans across two days because of that. We've been through so much during these ten years. We never got the chance to have a wedding and Matt would always tell me that I deserved one. So we decided to have a ceremony to commemorate being together for so long and wanted for all our family and friends to join in the celebration with us. It's not often nowadays that you see people our age being married for this long. So please come and celebrate with us! Got kids? Bring them! We'd love to have them - the more, the merrier! Please don't worry about how your kids may act. They're kids and this is to be a happy day. Let them laugh, babble and coo. Let them be little for a little while longer and our girls would love the chance to have some little ones to spend time with! We'd love to have you and eagerly look forward to celebrating with you!
