We met our junior year at Ohio University on the patio of The Pigskin. A mutual friend brought our two groups together, and we spent the whole night talking and laughing. Though we both felt an immediate spark, we went our separate ways at the end of the night without exchanging information. Six months later Caroline was out with that same mutual friend, who mentioned Josh was living in Phoenix at the time for an internship. Remembering the spark from that night at Pigskin and equipped with some liquid courage, Caroline took a chance and borrowed her friend's phone to call Josh and reintroduce herself. We talked every day until Josh returned to Athens, and have been together ever since. After four years of dating long-distance, two cross-country moves, and a whole lot of laughs and adventures, we are so happy to finally get married and celebrate our love story with our family and friends.
The night before our eight-year anniversary, Josh proposed at our home in Cleveland, OH. It was perfect. When asked why he didn't wait to propose on our actual anniversary, Josh said he didn't want Caroline to be able to say he made her wait eight whole years.
