In the words of Ms. Sade N. Small on how it all started. Sade: It was around September 2019 that I was in my classroom at ADVance Academy. I saw a handsome Deputy making his rounds at the school. I mean, the uniform was nice and crisp, and I mean he was FINE! I ran down the hallway to one of my co-workers Loretta Terry, my good friend. I ran up to her and said, “Girl did you see that piece of a man walking through here with that uniform“? All she could do was laugh and say “Shut up Fool”. I looked at my other co-worker, who was already in the room. I looked at her and asked her if I wrote him a note would she give it to him? She said yes. So I wrote the note, stating: Here is my number....... hit me up if you don’t have a girlfriend and if you have one, sorry for bothering you. So he never hit me up. So it had to have been about a month that went by when I saw him again this time at church. I was in the choir stand standing ready to sing. Before all of this, I had already had my eye on him. I did my research and everything on him trying to figure out everything I could about him. I even told my aunt about him. We had our girl talk. But anyway back on that Sunday. I was sitting in the choir stand. I looked at the front entrance of the church, and "BOOM" there he was with that blue suit on with a black shirt and a matching black tie. Baby! When I tell you, I was like "dang" he looked good, and I died in the process. I was sliding down in the choir stand, hoping he wouldn't see me. My aunt turned and looked at me and laughed. So after church, I spoke, and he didn't say anything. So I was like cool. I will let him be. So some time had passed seeing him in church almost weekly when he was off, and now it was March of 2020, and it was just another Sunday. It was a regular Sunday for me, I thought. I was minding my own business. Service was over, and I went to my car to get something. While getting my stuff, the Deputy came up to me and said, “How are you doing?” He scared the mess out of me. And my cousin who was with me was killing himself laughing at me. I was dropping stuff I couldn't get my mind right. Then I turned to one of his family members and told them to come and get him. I picked up everything I dropped at the car then, I ran back into the church. I ran straight to my aunt and told her what had happened. She looked at me and said, “He must be single”. Then not too long after that, I got a Facebook message request, and it was him. I was shocked. I was like, something just isn't right, I thought to myself. He barely had two words to say to me but, now the (negro) got a lot to say. So we were messaging back and forth. We exchanged phone numbers and set up a date for the following weekend. And like that history was made. I can truly say that God has blessed me with a good one. Almost three years later, I am marrying my best friend.
