Our life together began on January 21st 2018 when fate (and a little bit of technology) brought us together on Tinder. Our first conversation set the stage for a connection that would soon develop into much more. Mari always like to mention, "I knew that you were going to be someone special on our first date" Now 6 years later we are preparing for our I Do's. A year into the relationship Lawrence had to relocate for work. For 3 years we had to work through a long distance relationship. Mari in Seattle and Lawrence in Baltimore. These 3 years consisted of a lot of video calls, co-op video games, screen sharing movies/manga chapters and virtual dates. Unfortunately this time period also consisted of missed birthdays/holidays/anniversaries together, limited communication because of time differences combined with differing work schedules, and even canceled trips due to Covid. However, we remind each other that if we could manage 3 years apart then we can handle anything in our relationship. We were blessed that we had the opportunity to visit each other during our long distance period. During Mari's final Baltimore visit in August 2022, Lawrence popped the question. Lawrence joined Mari home in Washington a couple months later in October 2022. We are so excited to see where life takes us. Now, please join us in beginning this next chapter.
