Lorna and Lawrence’s love story began in the financial world, where working together sparked a friendship rooted in shared goals and late-night conversations. As they traveled the world for work, they discovered a connection beyond the job — filled with laughter, curiosity, and comfort in each other’s presence. Their bond deepened through a love of all things pop culture. Starting with walking her dog after a long day at work and teaching her how to play Pokemon Go and discovering they both loved the anime Naruto. Finding many commonalities, such as enjoying Lord of the Rings and introducing each other to what the other likes…such as him introducing Star Wars and her introducing K Dramas led to so many fun evenings and weekends just enjoying being together. Over time, friendship turned into something more, built on mutual respect, fun, and effortless chemistry…and many many many trips to Disneyland. As their relationship grew, so did their faith. Together, they committed to walking with God --attending church, from attending Youth Encounter to being part of Singles for Christ, growing spiritually and encouraging each other to build a Christ-centered foundation. Their faith continues to be the heart of their relationship. They also balance each other beautifully. Lawrence is calm, logical, and easygoing — lovingly dubbed the “old man at heart.” Lorna is a joyful social butterfly, full of energy and childlike wonder. Her spontaneity brings excitement; his steadiness brings peace. Together, they’re a perfect blend of fun and focus, laughter and love. Their shared passion for family, community, and financial empowerment has made their relationship even more meaningful. And through it all, they remain big kids at heart — always ready for the next adventure, hand in hand. Now, Lorna and Lawrence are living out their very own Disney love story, and they can’t wait to celebrate their “happily ever after” with all the people they love.
Lawrence proposed at Poway Lake with a romantic setting of Disney’s Tangled theme (one of Lorna’s favorite movies) with “And At last I see the Light” playing in the background. They soon celebrated their engagement at the Happiest Place on Earth Disneyland.
