LaWanda's Story My best friend's sister stated she wanted me to meet someone, and she thought we would be great together. At the time I wasn't looking for a relationship and I was going thru a transition in life and just didn't want to date, so nothing came of it. A couple months later, once again she says I have this really great guy for you, I think you will be good together, I mean he goes to church, he has his own house, he got a good job, I mean yawl selling him at this point right. Then she goes to say well the thing is dot dot dot and proceeds to tell me his age. I'm like oh no ma'am he's definitely too young. With a lot of convincing and thinking why not, I decided to give it a try. Soon after we started talking and texting on the phone. After about 2 weeks my best friend, her sister, and her husband decided to fake a cookout and when I walked in the house he was sitting right there on the couch. Shocker right!! Let's just say the blushing was on 10. Later that day we decided to meet back up and stayed and talked for hours. Let's just say Mr. Flakes haven't left my side too much since. Oh yeah, age was definitely not a problem. Dainel's Story Now it's time to tell my side of the story!!!! So, I been looking for a lady for a while, even though I was younger I always wanted someone with their head on straight. On my journey to finding someone my big sis from another mother was also able to help me in the process. She found several girls that she thought would be a good fit for me but for some reason they didn't work out. As time goes by Big Sis tells me that she has someone that she thinks would be good for me, at this time I was sort of dealing with someone and if u know me u know that I am a one-woman man, so I didn't pursue her. Quickly I realized that the girl I was dealing with wasn't going to work out, so now I am back on the block and big sis brings this woman back up that she wanted to introduce me to. She gave me her number and we started texting and calling each other. Our first-time meeting in person was at big sis house, neither one of us knew that each other would be there so we were shocked to see each other for the first time. After that day we kept talking and started visiting each other more. One thing led to another and here we are still standing strong and moving on to our new journey.

We just moved into our new home a couple weeks earlier and we decided to throw a housewarming. All our family and friends were there to celebrate and to help us pray over our new home. Everyone bowed their heads for prayer and once the prayer was over, I turned around and Daniel was on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was shocked and I froze and with all the excitement I said yes. The best gift!!! The Flakes
