Shara and I first met back in college at Indiana Tech... we actually had class together and in comes this girl I'd never seen before and she IMMEDIATELY had my attention... so you know what that means.... it's GameTime LOL. Honestly I wasn't sure how to approach her because I only would see her in that one class, never anywhere on campus and she would leave just as fast as she came. First things first, I had to find out her name and luckily for me she has a very unique one lol so one day I noticed she wasn't in class so I casually made my why up to the front of the class to turn in an assignment, did a quick look at the attendance sheet and flashing at me was the name Tashara Wright.. "That's her!!" I said to myself. It just so happens that she would be out of class the rest of that week which gave me time to come up with a master plan. To my surprise she reaches out to me on Facebook asking about what she missed in class.... excited to hear from her all I can think is here is my chance!! After learning she hadn't yet completed a project I happily offered to go with her because I hadn't finished mine yet either (so she thought, I actually finished the week she was out of class lol). March 12th 2009 I picked her up from her parents home and we went to the Fort Wayne Museum of Art ... for her, we were just getting some homework done.. for me, we were on our first date of many to come lol ... We have been inseparable ever since!!!! Mission accomplished
Will and I became first time homeowners in April. After a few months of putting in work and turning our house into a home, we decided to have our housewarming party on the 4th of July. We figured it would be a great time since family & friends usually get together to celebrate the holiday anyway, so why not... right? After a couple of weeks of planning, we were ready to have everyone over to kick back and enjoy this new blessing in our lives. Samantha, Will's sister, even called me and said that she was going to surprise him by flying in from California to make it for the housewarming so at this point I'm ecstatic! A couple of days before the party, Will came to me and said that he thought it'd be a good idea for us to do a thank you toast at the party (he's so thoughtful lol) so of course I was all for it! The big day gets here and our family & friends are piling in one after another and I just couldn't believe how many of our folks took time out of their busy lives to come and show us love and support. So the time came for us to say thank you to everyone and Will had me go first. Then when it was his turn, after thanking everyone, he turned his gratitude towards me. At this point, I'm just thinking how sweet he is and how happy I was at this time in our lives (I didn't notice 1. we were the only two that didn't have drinks in our hands & 2. everyone had their phones out recording LOL) and that's when he got down on one knee and presented me with a customized wine bottle with the words "Will You Marry Me?" on it. Then he pulled out the rock... Rose gold with a black diamond, EXACTLY what I wanted... He did good, yall!! Lol so it turns out, I literally planned my own engagement party. Oh and BTW, Samantha was in on it too! He knew the whole time that she was coming! LOL.. He definitely got me good!!!
