What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

If you can't tell by now, we love color, we love sparkle, we love Liberace. We want you to have fun! Step out in whatever makes you feel most beautiful! Outshine the bride, get that sequins dress that has been sitting in the back of your closet, google RuPaul, Paris is Burning, watch Pose, or Behind the Candelabra. Have a colored tux or suit you're scared to wear... WEAR IT! Get ready to vogue like it is 1990 in a Harlem dance ballroom or like it is 1965 and Liberace is going to take the stage in Vegas. When in doubt, ask yourself, "WWCW"... What would Cher wear?

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Typically, the weather will fall around 50/55 degrees in November (with global warming it may be 70 like this year). Please bring a jacket for the ceremony which will be outside (weather permitting). Both the cocktail hour and reception will be indoors.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held at The Liberty House in Jersey City, NJ.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! We will be staying at the Canopy By Hilton Jersey City Arts District. A room block will be available for 11/1-11/3 starting January 2023!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes. There is parking at Liberty House!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love all your little chickies, this will be a child-free event so we can all let our hair down and dance the night away!

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 6pm so we can watch the beautiful sunset over Manhattan!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! There is a section on our RSVP page to add any food allergies or sensitivities you have. We will make sure that there are gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, and nut-free options available.
