Our story began in the spring of 2022, when Tyler showed up at the front door of Kylie’s college townhome, where she lived with her four sorority sisters—now bridesmaids. A few weeks earlier, Tyler’s sister, Taylor, had purchased a painting Kylie was selling on Instagram. While Kylie and Taylor had crossed paths a handful of times at local UNT events over the years, they didn’t know each other well. When Taylor asked if her brother could pick up the painting since he lived nearby in DFW, Kylie agreed and thought little of it. That is, until Tyler knocked on the door. When Kylie opened the door, she quickly realized Taylor had forgotten to mention that her brother was extremely handsome—and that even his muscles had muscles. Trying to hide her nerves and buy herself a little more time, she asked if he would help carry a few boxes downstairs as she prepared for her upcoming move to Dallas. Tyler gladly obliged. As fate—and the Lord—would have it, Kylie was moving just five minutes away from where Tyler lived. Before heading home with what has now become the famous painting, Tyler wasted no time asking Kylie out on a date. Just a few weeks later, Kylie made the move to Dallas, and that’s when our story truly began. What started with a painting quickly turned into countless dinners, weekend adventures, and SMU game days supporting Tyler. Through career changes, new adventures, and every season in between, God continued to write a story far greater than either of us could have imagined. From that unexpected knock on the door to the life we’re building together today, we are endlessly grateful for the love, friendship, and faith that have guided us every step of the way. Now, surrounded by the people we love most, we cannot wait to celebrate the beginning of our next chapter as husband and wife.
